Focus of teaching

Our courses deal with the acquisition, processing, and analysis of digital behavioral data for the investigation of socio-technical issues using computationally intensive processes. For example, students learn how data can be extracted from application programming interfaces and websites and which quantitative methods are suitable for using heterogeneous data formats (text, image, video, audio). In addition, topics such as research ethics are discussed and knowledge of specific research designs is imparted.

Further information for regular students can be found on our German website (content in German).
